It can be tempting to grab a piece of clothing off the rack in a store that catches your eye, but will you wear it more than once? Will you wear it all? This has happened to me many times. I’ve ended up with clothing in my closet that I’ve never worn, and I say to myself, “What was I thinking… what a waste of money!”. The tip for today is to plan out a few key pieces that you can mix and match into several different outfits. Or if you have a personal wardrobe consultant, such as the service Etcetera provides, they will do the footwork for you, and provide feedback about what looks good on you. You can actually save time and money with a good wardrobe plan and the complimentary service of a wardrobe consultant.

Gray is the must-have neutral for Fall – it is neither white nor black, and it comes in many shades – maybe Fifty! Ahhh, the lovely shades of gray for Fall – Ash, Charcoal and Pewter. They are a perfect backdrop to coordinate with the rich shades of jade, raspberry, blush, turquoise, venetian red, lapis, clementine, and blueberry which are also featured in Etcetera Fall 2012. It’s not too early to start thinking about the beautiful Fall clothes which you will want to add to your wardrobe. Fall collections are already popping up in stores to tease and tempt you. With Etcetera’s Fall shows set to begin in mid-August, I am already contemplating which shade of gray will work best for me — perhaps I need them all!!!
